The media seems to have a slow cycle that needs to be filled. All told, about 100 people have died from the flu in the last 2 weeks. About the same number that have had their heads chopped off in Saudi Arabia. In contrast, about 9000 have been killed in car crashes, about 10,000 have died from malaria, and 15,000 have died from malnutrition. But not to worry, the net population increase is still straight up. As if human life were so precious that talking about population pressures is verbottan. Actually, it might be a good thing for the world in the long run if the “Mexican” Flu did in fact wipe out about two-thirds of the worlds population. We might start to get serious about certain things that we have never spoken of before.
